WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) announced that communities across Western North Carolina will receive more than $16.5 million in federal funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to continue recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. The funding will support critical infrastructure repairs and debris removal in Lake Lure, Burke County, and Polk County.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Recently, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) and Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan V. Gould held a roundtable in Charlotte with leaders from both community banks and major national financial institutions. 

Participants included executives from Wells Fargo, Fifth Third, PNC, and Regions Bank, as well as community-focused institutions like Peoples Bank, Hometrust, and blueharbor bank, alongside representatives from the North Carolina Bankers Association and UNC Charlotte’s Belk College of Business.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Recently, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) and Lou Correa (CA-46) introduced H.R. 7225, the Protecting Child Sex Trafficking Victim Witnesses Act, bipartisan legislation aimed at improving how the federal justice system supports and safeguards child victims when they testify against human traffickers.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) penned a letter calling on the U.S. Postal Service to immediately reopen the Chimney Rock Village Post Office, which has remained closed since Hurricane Helene devastated the region. Although repairs have been completed and a USPS assessment in October 2025 deemed the facility suitable for operation, the post office has not resumed service.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) announced today that the Town of Lake Lure will receive $1,796,864.36 in federal funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to restore the Lake Lure Marina docks, which were severely damaged during Hurricane Helene in 2024.
