WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) announced that communities across Western North Carolina will receive more than $16.5 million in federal funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to continue recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. WASHINGTON, D.C. — Recently, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) and Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan V. Gould held a roundtable in Charlotte with leaders from both community banks and major national financial institutions. 

Participants included executives from Wells Fargo, Fifth Third, PNC, and Regions Bank, as well as community-focused institutions like Peoples Bank, Hometrust, and blueharbor bank, alongside representatives from the North Carolina Bankers Association and UNC Charlotte’s Belk College of Business.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) penned a letter calling on the U.S. Postal Service to immediately reopen the Chimney Rock Village Post Office, which has remained closed since Hurricane Helene devastated the region. Although repairs have been completed and a USPS assessment in October 2025 deemed the facility suitable for operation, the post office has not resumed service.
