WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Tim Moore announced that 9th Grader Valentina Cutitaru, a student at Ardrey Kell High School and the Allan Fine Art Academy, is the winner of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. Her artwork, titled “Perfect Landing,” was chosen to represent North Carolina’s Fourteenth District and will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Tim Moore’s (NC-14) legislation to designate U.S. Highway 74 from I-26 in Columbus to I-85 in Kings Mountain as a future interstate has been included in the bipartisan BUILD America 250 Act, a five-year surface transportation reauthorization package released this week by the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Congressman Moore originally introduced the legislation earlier this Congress as H.R. 1333, continuing an effort first advanced in the previous Congress.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, the U.S. House passed Congressman Tim Moore’s H.R. 4478, the Tailored Regulatory Updates for Supervisory Testing Act of 2025 (TRUST Act), on a unanimous voice vote. This bipartisan legislation updates outdated banking regulations by raising asset limits that have not kept pace with the growth of the economy, ensuring well-managed community banks are not subject to the same examination requirements as the nation’s largest financial institutions.

Projects include debris removal, temporary infrastructure, and permanent roadway repairs.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Good Friday, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) introduced H.R. 8182, the Banning Perpetrators of Religious Persecution Act, to restrict visas for individuals who have directed, authorized, significantly supported, participated in, or carried out violations of religious freedom. It also expands visa ineligibility to terrorist or non-state actors responsible for violations of religious freedom, in addition to foreign government officials responsible for the persecution of religious groups.

The funding supports multiple completed cleanup projects across the county, including waterway clearing and countywide debris removal.
