WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) led members of the North Carolina Congressional Delegation in a letter to Secretary Debbie-Anne A. Reese of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), urging full and fair consideration of the Williams Transco Southeast Supply Enhancement Project.
“North Carolina continues to be an economic leader, consistently ranking among the top ten states for manufacturing and the top five for starting a business,” the lawmakers wrote. “This project will enable North Carolina to sustain this momentum and maintain our state's exceptional quality of life.”
The letter emphasizes the project’s ability to deliver clean, affordable, and reliable energy to meet the growing demands of North Carolina's residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. It also highlights the role of natural gas in strengthening energy resilience and supporting long-term economic development.

The lawmakers concluded, “This project is critical for securing a prosperous, energy-secure future for North Carolina.”
