WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Good Friday, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) introduced H.R. 8182, the Banning Perpetrators of Religious Persecution Act, to restrict visas for individuals who have directed, authorized, significantly supported, participated in, or carried out violations of religious freedom. It also expands visa ineligibility to terrorist or non-state actors responsible for violations of religious freedom, in addition to foreign government officials responsible for the persecution of religious groups.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) announced that Rutherford County will receive nearly $9.39 million in federal funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to reimburse debris removal and emergency response work following Hurricane Helene. The funding supports multiple completed cleanup projects across the county, including waterway clearing and countywide debris removal.
