Named Vice Chairman of Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Recently, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) was named to the House Committee on Financial Services and the House Committee on the Budget. In addition to these appointments, Congressman Moore will serve as Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, where he will help lead critical efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in financial regulations and federal spending.
“It’s an honor to be named to the Financial Services and Budget Committees, and I take this responsibility seriously as we work to restore fiscal responsibility and get our nation’s economy back on track,” said Congressman Moore. “With President Trump, we will rebuild the American Dream for hardworking families, ensuring policies that lower costs, create jobs, and strengthen local economies. While these committees will be central to my work in Congress, my main priority will always be rebuilding Western North Carolina and fighting for the victims of Hurricane Helene.”
Financial Services Chairman French Hill added, “I am thrilled to welcome Rep. Moore to our Committee. Over the past decade, he led the Republican Majority in the North Carolina House and understands what it means to be a leader. Paired with his experience in state politics, his years as an attorney will bode well for helping to lead our priorities on the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee. Oversight and Investigations Chairman Rep. Meuser and I look forward to working with Rep. Moore in the 119th Congress as our Vice Chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee.”
Throughout his career, including his tenure as Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives, Congressman Moore has been a tireless advocate for fiscal responsibility and economic opportunity.
