Congressman Tim Moore Announces More Than $22 Million in FEMA Funding for Hurricane Helene Recovery Projects in NC-14

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) announced more than $22 million in federal funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for Hurricane Helene recovery projects across North Carolina's 14th District. The funding will support debris removal and critical infrastructure repairs in communities across NC-14, including projects to restore water, sewer, roadway, and utility systems damaged by Hurricane Helene.

“These projects represent another important step forward in the recovery from Hurricane Helene,” said Congressman Moore. “From debris removal in Burke County and Rutherford County to infrastructure repairs in communities across NC-14, this funding will help restore critical infrastructure and support the work that remains ahead. I appreciate President Trump, Secretary Mullin, and FEMA for continuing to prioritize Western North Carolina's recovery.”

$18,070,003.30 supports debris removal operations in Burke County following Hurricane Helene. The project removed debris from waterways throughout the county to reduce safety hazards and support ongoing recovery efforts. This funding is authorized under Section 407 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.

$1,258,761.67 supports private property debris removal operations in Rutherford County following Hurricane Helene. The project removed eligible storm debris from private properties and help communities continue recovery efforts. This funding is authorized under Section 407 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.

$822,891.40 will go to the Town of Lake Lure to repair or replace a sewer lift station damaged during Hurricane Helene. The project will help restore critical wastewater infrastructure serving local residents and businesses. This funding is authorized under Section 406 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.

$476,531.21 will go to the Town of Lake Lure to repair damaged roads, embankments, ditches, shoulders, and related infrastructure impacted by Hurricane Helene. The project will help restore transportation infrastructure and improve access throughout the community. This funding is authorized under Section 406 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.

$297,065.83 will go to the Town of Lake Lure to repair or replace pipes damaged during Hurricane Helene. The project will help restore critical utility infrastructure. This funding is authorized under Section 406 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.

$795,602.70 will go to Cleveland County Water to repair or replace damaged pipes following Hurricane Helene. The project will help restore water infrastructure serving residents and businesses throughout the county. This funding is authorized under Section 406 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.

$528,014.91 will go to the Town of Spindale to repair or replace pipes damaged during Hurricane Helene. The project will help restore critical utility infrastructure and support ongoing recovery efforts. This funding is authorized under Section 406 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.

$272,322.09 will go to the City of Mount Holly to repair trail infrastructure damaged during Hurricane Helene. The project will restore public recreational infrastructure impacted by the storm. This funding is authorized under Section 406 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.

$129,727.72 will go to the City of Morganton to repair or replace a damaged lift station following Hurricane Helene. The project will help restore critical wastewater infrastructure. This funding is authorized under Section 406 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.
